Our survey sailed through Backerkit with just a couple of tiny tweaks and we've sent out the smoke test to 5% of backers so we can double check everything is going smoothly once it gets in your hands! Check your email inbox tonight and see if you're one of the folks randomized to get your survey early. We'll be checking the early surveys to make sure everything is A-OK on our end, and if there are no issues we'll send out surveys to everyone tomorrow! 

We've added the Early Bird bonus items for backers in the first 72 hours who scored a free copy of the Fates of Madness card game or the Krampus STL file! Those items should be added to your survey already for free, and of course everyone else can grab them as part of their backer survey!

Backerkit Survey Submitted and Gothic Campaign Compendium PF1 for Fantasy Grounds!

Hi all,

First things first, the Backerkit survey is in for review! Usually things turn around fairly quickly, so I'm hopeful we'll be able to send it out Friday or Saturday to everyone! You can choose your game system, enter your address and pay for shipping if getting physical products, and of course add any extra items that strike your fancy! 

Speaking of extra items, we have a somewhat surprising addition to our Horror trove: The Gothic Campaign Compendium for PF1 for Fantasy Grounds VTT! 

Fantasy Grounds has their own in-house dev team, and this just happened to be the LG book they most recently chose to work on. Note that this is NOT the new version of the Horror Campaign Compendium; this is the original Pathfinder 1E book from 2013, ready to use for Fantasy Grounds.

That said, the Horror Campaign Compendium project was intended to bring all of that content together for D&D 5.5E and Pathfinder 2E, while simultaneously providing an updated and enhanced version of the original (and now out-of-print) Gothic Campaign Compendium book for Pathfinder 1E. The new book has more monsters, spells, class options, haunted traps, creepy castle rules, artwork, and more (plus allows us to bring it to print again, as there are no more copies of the old book left), but the majority of the content in the updated Horror Campaign Compendium can be found in the original Gothic Campaign Compendium. 

If you're a Fantasy Grounds fan for PF1, this will definitely be right up your alley!

FOR ALL PF1 HORROR CAMPAIGN COMPENDIUM BACKERS: If you are a longtime LG fan and already own the original Gothic Campaign Compendium and are getting the new version, I'm going to add a Backerkit question where you can let me know, as I'll be issuing a credit or coupon code for you (our website is currently down, but once it gets back running I'll be able to set things up).

Thanks so much to everyone who pledged to make this project possible! We send a special shout out to Jean B. as backer #400, and I was going to salute Luke D. as our final backer right before the project ended... but then right AFTER it ended we had our first late pledge with Thassilonian jumping aboard! 

I do enjoy Kickstarter's Late Pledges feature; we've had nearly 30 people come aboard after our Nordic Monsters project ended and we're happy to get our books into even more hands however you can find us! 

I'm already working on our Backerkit survey, filling out items that we built in along the way and also adding in new items that we'll have available for you in stretch goals that we didn't quite conquer. I aim to get it ready to submit on Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday, and barring any need for fixes with our survey we should hopefully be able to send it out by the end of next week! 

We'll work on finalizing the content for these books as well, and we hope to have a very happy Halloween coming your way! Tricks and treats are definitely coming for your players! Thanks again for helping us to Make Your Game Legendary!

Thanks so much for your support of this project! We love how much you have contributed to making this book a reality, with a special shout-out to Michael I. as backer #350 and Bill R. for pushing us across the $30,000 mark and unlocking blood and bone elementals to horrify your heroes! 

As we're less than 30 hours away from completing the project, it looks like we're not likely to hit a bunch of stretch goals we had hoped to include in the book had this book hit the way we were expecting. We had some questions from backers about what that would mean and here's what's coming! 

1. Adventures: The Horror Campaign Compendium includes three adventures already, but the planned fourth adventure, Whisper House, a 60-page tale of cosmic corruption for 8th-level heroes, that we were going to add to the book will be available separately in Backerkit as an add-on for 5E, PF1, and PF2.
2. Madness: The Horror Campaign Compendium also likewise includes simplified rules for madness and mental strain associated with horror. We also developed a 32-page expanded rule set of detailed insanity rules for madness, hallucinations, phobias, tics, major breakdowns, and magical, alchemical, and psychic treatment, which would've been added across several stretch goals, but instead the entire Tome of Madness will also be available as a Backerkit add-on for 5E, PF1, and PF2 too!

• Backer's Choice: We have several other stretch goals where we've added great bonus material but we had even more we were excited to add, and that's where YOU, our backers come in. Rather than us deciding which other stretch goals we'll fill in and complete, we'll be having a backer poll so that you can decide what bonus material would be best to include if we hit stretch goals at $35,000 and/or $40,000 by the time we close! More cults? More clowns? More curses? Alien abominations? Creepy castles? Scream your loudest because every voice gets a choice and we'll fill in the final details that you demand!
• Creative Content: Last but not least, if you want to include a piece of your own horror ideas in this book, check out add-ons like That Old Black Magic and Something Wicked This Way Comes and you can personalize the Horror Campaign Compendium with a character, rules design, artwork, and more.

We are looking forward to a fabulous finish in the final two weeks as we look to unlock blood and bone elementals and unlock a whole new level of mental maladies with detailed madness rules developed by mental health experts, with even more horrors beyond!
